After moving from one ISP to another and several server changes, the Episode Warehouse had been offline for several years. Despite that, I noticed many attempts to load pages in my http logs, so I decided to dig up the the archive and put it back up. I had to hack it a bit to try to make things work on the new platform, so it's not 100%, but it's better than it was.

    NOsama Bin Laden on USA
    Posted by FreQi on Sun @ 04:30 AM - Mar 23rd, 2003
Here's a copy/paste from an article by Brian Ford Sullivan at thefutoncritic.com...

USA has pulled an upcoming episode of its original series "The Dead Zone" that heavily mentions terrorist-at-large Osama Bin Laden.

The episode, "The Hunt for Osama," features Johnny Smith (Anthony Michael Hall) being recruited by a little known branch of the C.I.A. to help track down America's most wanted fugitive: Osama Bin Laden. Co-written by Joseph McMoneagle (author of "The Stargate Chronicles: Memoirs of a Psychic Spy") the hour is based on the true history of the U.S. government's "remote viewing" or psychic espionage program. While officially disbanded in 1995, various sources believe it is continuing secretly or on a contract basis in order to assist in the war on terrorism.

USA was not available for comment on the schedule change.

Originally set to air March 30 at 10:00/9:00c, another new episode, "Playing God" (featuring fellow brat-packer Ally Sheedy) will air instead. A new air date for "The Hunt for Osama" has not been given. Because of the episode being yanked, the second season of "The Dead Zone" will conclude a week early, on April 6.

Whimps. The war is on Saddam, not Osama.

    Acting on the move

It seems actor Nestor Carbonell, who played Batmanuel on the short lived live action version of The Tick (man I miss that show) has joined the cast of a new show called Century City, described as a legal drama set in 2053.

To those of us looking for Karen to pull a "surprise, I'm not dead" on John Doe, perhaps it's time to stop holding our breath. It seems Sprague Grayden (who plays Karen) has signed on to play the lead role of the WB's nod to "Pretty in Pink" with their new pilot, 16 to Life.

This may only be news to me, but did you know that Robert Forster, who plays Ray Ray in Fastlane, is a major character in the 1997 Quentin Tarantino film, Jackie Brown ? I was caught off guard. Figured I'd pass it along.

FOX has a new series set to premiere this Sunday at 7:30c called Oliver Beene. It follows a 10/11 year old boy in a style not unlike The Wonder Years.

Andy Richter has his hands on at least two more shows while his own Universe hangs in the balance, awaiting word on a third season. CBS is working on a show called Harry's Girl starring Catherine Taylor as a woman who's life is narrarated by her dog, with Andy Richter's voice. Andy is also cast opposite Monica Potter in the CBS comedy The Lunchbox Chronicles as "Joe" (the best friend of Poter's character).

Diane Farr (who played Det. Jan Fendrich in The Job) has been cast as the lead in a new NBC comedy The Ripples.

Family Guy will be seen on Cartoon Network as part of their Adult Swim lineup, starting April 20th, following Futurama at 10:30c.

Roar originally aired on FOX back in 1997 and only aired 8 of it's produced 13 episodes. Sci-Fi has picked the series up off the shelf and will begin airing the episodes on Wednesdays @ 9:00c starting April 2nd.

Adam West and Burt Ward play themselves in a two hour special on CBS called simply Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt featuring flashbacks and nostalgic fun in cameos by Batman baddies. The actors join forces to help find the original Batmobile after it's stolen, reliving the making of the classic show as they search for clues.

NEW YORK (AP) -- James Gandolfini, the star of "The Sopranos," has filed a complaint claiming HBO breached his contract by missing a deadline to advise the actor that his services would be needed for a fifth season, scheduled to begin filming on March 24. The Daily News reported that Gandolfini, who earns about $400,000 an episode, including bonuses, is seeking $750,000 an episode.

Grounded for Life was dropped this season by FOX, but last week, The WB picked it back up.

    Break's over, time to watch

So the holidays are finally wrapping up (although I do have one last Christmas thing to attend this weekend) and new episodes are returning to the air. We've already hit a new episode of Alias and Andy Richter, but there is pleanty more on the way. For example, 24, 8 Simple Rules, Buffy, Fastlane and John Doe are all new this week, but the most exciting thing, and sad actually, is the return of Farscape! It's been almost 5 months since the last new episode of Farscape aired, but this Friday, "Kansas", the conclusion of a two-parter, will air. Be sure to tune in and show support for the series. Maybe Sci-Fi will consider saving the show for a 5th season... Wishful thinking I suspect.
